Freedom-Dance Online Classes for Students with Autism
We invite you to a gentle, imaginative journey through movement and expression. Our Freedom – Dance (Butoh-inspired) online classes are specially designed for students on the autism spectrum, offering a safe, supportive, and creative space to explore the body, emotions, and the world around them through dance and performance.
Butoh is a unique form of movement that encourages self-awareness, sensitivity, and presence. In our classes, it becomes a playful tool for communication, self-regulation, and sensory exploration—without the pressure to follow steps or routines. Each child is free to move at their own pace, guided by carefully crafted themes, music, stories, and visual cues that speak to the senses and imagination.
These sessions are not about performance but about connection: to oneself, to others, and to the inner world of creativity. Whether your child loves to move, prefers stillness, or communicates in non-verbal ways, there is a place for them here.
We honor neurodiversity and believe in the power of movement as a language beyond words. Let’s explore together—with care, curiosity, and joy.
You can read about the benefits of this dance here.
The classes are led by Marco Nektan, a performance artist, Butoh dancer, choreographer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience.
